"I atribute my success to the fact that I never gave or accepted an excuse." -Helen Keller

As a man of dark complexion must wait,
To hear the results of his harmless deeds.
Color is the reason for some debate;
A white man could consume the food he needs,
Along with this he was kicked from his seat,
But his refusal caused us all great grief.
Because a white man had to rest his feet,
He sat before the judge with fear of grief.
Then he sat there listening to his greatest fear,
He now must spend several years in jail.
He spends all his time suffering with fear;
He can only receive letters and mail.
This is caused by the cruel segregation,
Destroying lives of the population.

I have always loved studying about history, and for a long time I was very interested in the Civil Rights Movement. Although this story has been told may times by many people, it was such a bad part of American history that it will always be discussed, and we can never forget it.
