Joy is not just a trivial feeling, but almost a tangible thing
Not just an emotion, but an important, life-changing decision;
That should be made not only with clear precision
But also as a decision so that you can please your King.

Although joy is at times resting on fragile wings,
And although it is hard to foresee the future with our limited vision,
Despite woeful pains or sorrows or calamities or collisions
Christians must look upon the mysterious, unforeseen future and sing.

Hopeful and encouraging, joy drives out any anxiety.
For those who are born again, it should always be had.
A deep feeling of peace that Christians possess even when sad,
Joy is a never-failing remedy to ones with troubles of any variety.

Joy should be possessed, while dismissing any propriety,
For no matter the situation, joy is a quality to be aspired to add.

Whether others agree with my views or not, I hope that people will realize that having joy is not a trivial matter.
