Winter Air

Breathing, witnessing, and waiting for the snow to touch the tip of my nose.
Standing in the winter air makes me anxious for the winter wonderland.
My arms go numb, my lips are cracking, my legs are frozen.
I close my eyes and nudge my head up..
Breathing, witnessing, and feeling as the skies release the snow. Imagine the tender snow being rubbed between your slender fingers, melting.
The snowflakes dance down and meet the ground. I could stand in the snow for hours. Yet, time is still moving, as I am frozen in Winter air.

This piece of poetry was inspired by one of my favorited seasons.
It's great how everyone is always excited for the snow and waiting for it to fall, then enjoy what nature has provided!

"The poet ranks far below the painter in the representation of visible things, and far below the musician in that of invisible things. Why does the eye see a thing more clearly in dreams than the imagination when awake?,"Leonardo da Vinci.

I love the poem and winter is also my fav. season.
