Waiting patiently high up in a tree
Soaking in the surroundings like a sponge
Staring at the squirrels and the bright leaves
Feeling like a diver waiting to plunge
Chilly breeze nipping at my face
Trying to stay as long as possible
Heart racing even though it's not a race
Killing a deer is never impossible
But I love it like a bear loves her cub
Wouldn't do anything else if I could
I would never shoot a stub
I shoot deer right were I should
Deer hunting is never a bore, it's great
I've definitely picked up a great trait
