Favorite Quote:
“You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children.”
― Madeleine L'Engle

No you can’t
You can’t do this to me
I’ve fought long and hard and want to be free
I’ve lost everything but this possibility
Please oh please
I want to be free

I have nothing left for you
I’m broken down to dirt
Let me let me go
I’m just a little lost
I’ve hoped for more, for more, for less
But now there’s just
Pebbles and crumbs
Of what was before

You want to hold me close
Protect what you have left
But i need
I need to breath again
I need to get away
From your oppressive love
Away from your haven of knitted arms
Away from the looks
The words
The “It will be okay”s
You are the dirt that holds my roots in place
