My peaceful companion, a necessity to us all
You do not come to me, rather I fall into you
You are so tranquil, and gently, you take me with your lull
Until suddenly, I descend into your blissful world–impromptu
Once in your realm, it is just me and my mind
Nothing is real, I am submissive to my imagination
Anything can happen in your world that crosses the line
Of reality and transitions into the domain of all sensation
When I am in your world, my dreams are my reality
My sense of the real world is taken by your presence
My physical body is just a shell when I am with thee
For my dear friend sleep, only you can sedate me with your mere existence
