He’s the captain of the football team.
And she’s his cheerleader.  The popular.
Life’s newest members.  The Emo kids
gather wherever they please.  Bragging
how they’re not life’s followers.  That’s
the problem with their delusion.

He’s the hero
The delusion of a hero.
And she’s the damsel.
Always in distress.
And they’re the jokers
The observers
Always the victims of
an awkward situation.
Forever with the drugs
Forever with the drama
And forever with detentions.
Perfection is a myth.
Is a myth

The grades are everywhere
Somedays I’m rich and most days
I’m poor.  The natural rumors of
“I’m this” and “I’m that” mingle
and become gibberish to my ears.
I’m a scratcher – a biter
It’s my self-mutilation
Stuck in depression.
And I want to change just like
The butterfly

He’s the delusion of a hero.
And she’s the damsel always in distress.
And we’re the jokers
The observers
Stuck in the situation
I’m a scratcher – a biter
Forever with the drugs
Forever with the drama
It’s a ticket to detention
Well I’d rather be there
Than outside.
Perfection is a myth
“I’m this” and “I’m that”.
Perfection is a myth
I’m this but I’m not you
Label the hell out of me.
