Life Will Give

Life will give
While people take
And tears will fall
While hearts will break
A picture on the wall
Is all it becomes
Another memory gone
With the setting sun
Separate roads
Different places
Each with stories
And each with faces
Not the same
Yet intertwined
All of them are underlined
With hints of color
From a different story
Another person
Who touched that life
Who made it worse
But yet made it so right
Life will give
What some people take
Tears will fall
Hearts will break
But everything will end
Just fine
Because those people
Are just underlines

I wrote this song after a break up. It was my attempt at reassuring myself that it wasn't a big deal, that it was just a little drop of water in the ocean of my life. It worked, and I hope that if anyone is worrying over something and reads this that they try and put it into perspective and live with a smile.
