I asked if I could swim,

but they said I would only drown.

I asked if I could fly,

but they said my feet would never leave the ground.

at this point I knew I was forever bound.

I asked if I could sink,

they said go ahead and try.

I asked if I could disappear,

they said go ahead I won't even cry.

then I knew,

I was forever bound to die.
