Just An Act

(Verse One)
I try my hardest to swim
But I continue to silently drown
Deeper into the cold hard ground
While everyone around me
Can easily surface and breathe
With little to no effort at all
This whirlpool of blackness
Just won't stop spinning
And I just continue to fall
Because as of now; it's winning

(Chorus)
This smile upon my face
Is just a mask to hide the pain
As I feel the sting of the rain
I try to hide the hurt in my eyes
By using a plaster of disguise
But deep down inside I bleed
With complete emptiness
And trust me this is all fact
You're just too blind to see
That this is all just an act

(Verse Two)
I try to fight off my demons
As they scream within me
And keep me from being free
I rattle my cage like a beast
But they continue their feast
And make a meal out of me
I'm trapped here forever
Because I can't bust this
And by this point I'm sure the key
Has probably rusted

(Chorus)
This smile upon my face
Is just a mask to hide the pain
As I feel the sting of the rain
I try to hide the hurt in my eyes
By using a plaster of disguise
But deep down inside I bleed
With complete emptiness
And trust me this is all fact
You're just too blind to see
That this is all just an act

(Bridge)
It's been all this years
And you still don't understand
The problem isn't on my hands
I can't control any of it
No matter how hard the source is hit
I pretended to be happy
When all I felt is depressed
And completely helpless too
You just don't get me
Or what I'm going through

(Chorus)
This smile upon my face
Is just a mask to hide the pain
As I feel the sting of the rain
I try to hide the hurt in my eyes
By using a plaster of disguise
But deep down inside I bleed
With complete emptiness
And trust me this is all fact
You're just too blind to see
That this is all just an act
