See You

I remember when we used to sit in class and chill
Oh how the stupid fantasies seemed so real
We used to focus on clothes, seeing who was the most dapper
We would talk about how we would be the greatest of rappers

We would claim to be friends until death
Go to class and just sit there with an F
We would mock the girls that would ignore us
Making the ones that gave us attention feel like it was a must

Now I am with my lady and she and I rule the world
Meanwhile you barely attend school, your mentality has swirled
My life is now fruitful, it bothers me to see you rot
The girls you used to scheme have finally caught up to your plot

I used to be envious at times I actually wanted to be you
You have turned a blind eye to the world ,but we all see you

I am inspired to write this poem because I see how I have grown apart from someone I called friend
