Take these broken wings and learn to fly

She’s sitting in her room all alone
Wondering what it is she did wrong
Everyone observes how she’s always silent
Not knowing its because her boyfriend is violent
She asks herself why does she stay
It’s really not that hard to just get away
There’s a spot in her heart that tells her everyday
To just deal with it because he says he loves you anyway
And she doesn't wanna feel lonely
And she remembers he said she’s his one & only
She remembers how happy she was when they fell in love
It went from a hug and a kiss to a choke and a shove
It went from long romantic dinners to fusses and fights
It went from exciting to frightening to come home every night
A little make up isn't going to cover that black eye
But she’s not strong enough to leave and say goodbye

i wrote this because someone i'm really close to is in a domestic violent relationship . it happens a lot and usually they keep it a secret, and it's very hard for them to leave. people need to be aware. if your friend is showing signs please help them.

Beautiful. All you need to do is divide it into stanzas so it's easier to read. Beautiful. 5/5
