Stuck In Her Daydream

Every time I close my eyes
it's like a dark paradise.
I live my life inside a dream,
only waking when I sleep.
I may go to places I have never been
just to find the deepest desires in my mind.
I shut the world outside
until the lights come on.
It’s better off being a lonely road,
there's beauty in being alone.

At once I knew I was not magnificent.
Crumbling like pastries,
I'm breaking at the bridges.
Wondering if I really tried everything I could.
The ugly years of being a fool,
isn’t youth meant to be beautiful?

If I could float away,
fly up to the surface and just start again.
Take me back to the start.
Which way is right,
which way is wrong?
It's my road.

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I’ll face this night and see it through.
It's right before my eyes
and I can taste it.
I'd rather be a comma than a full stop.

I have to show the world that something good can work.
My hope is I have so much to feel good about.
When everything is out,
I have to take it in.

Happiness is two different things,
what I take and then what I bring.
But now I've seen it through,
now I know the truth,
that anything could happen.

Keep your head up,
keep your heart strong.
I’m never changing who I am.
Through chaos as it swirls,
it's us against the world.

You have to swim.
Swim for your life.
Swim for the music
that saves you
when you're not so sure you'll survive.

I can see you put a lot of work into this. The lines from different song titles is impressive. I love how you go so into depth on what daydreaming is. Keep up the good work!
