What You've Done to Me

Waves crash around me as I
Look your ignorance in the eye
Yet I still hold you closer

Push me right into the surf
I pretend it doesn’t hurt
But you’re killing me inside

And you want me to
Stay the same, stay the same,
So maybe, just maybe
You shouldn’t play this game

With me
And let me go!

Take a step away from me
I watch you go, so silently!
Yet I think you’ll be back.

Naivety is my cause
And you, my love, are my loss
But that’s what you can’t aww!

And you want me to
Stay the same, stay the same,
So maybe, just maybe
You shouldn’t play this game

Just walk out that hole
Leave me a broken soul!
We always heal in the end
We never break, we just bend!

You’re hurting my life
In my chest, you twist this knife
As I bleed, I cause no strife
What’s done is done, to my heart good night!

So let me go!
So let me go!
So let me go!
So let me go! Go! Go!

That was really good! It made so much sense to me, and I loved the phrasing. Also, I admire your awesome word choices. Just by the way, it's spelled "naivete." I love it, and I can't wait to hear it. :P
