"Enjoy the beauty of life, of the things around you. Take time to see the good, not just the bad. Lose yourself in the sound of a guitar, fake play the piano, and scream your favorite songs at the top of your lungs. Just live a little."

There's a young girl on the side of the road
She's sitting there, shivering in the cold
She's too wrapped up in her own world
To even notice everything's unfurled

If only I had been there
To catch her when she fell
I'd show her that I care
And hope that she would tell

If only I had been there
If only she knew why
Her world would fall apart
All she could do was cry

After all the pain
She stood up and left
To see what she had gained
But she just couldn't accept

I did my best to help her
But she wasn't ready to see
That no matter what occurred
She would always have me

I wrote this song for my best friend a while ago. She's a hopeless romantic, so her heart gets broken more times than I'd expected. I wanted her to know that I would always be by her side no matter what happened.
