You cry yourself to sleep
And dream of a beautiful place
Where hurt can fade away
And love will stop the ache

The ache of pain and lies,
The nights when no one was there
To hear your desperate cries
Or answer heartbroken prayers

Pain paralyzes, can you ever forget
Those moments which pierced your soul?

Beautiful child, come into My arms,
I’ll whisper the songs of My love in your heart
And your heart may be broken, but your beauty remains,
Your tears are a sign of your strength
Come to me, beautiful child.

Sometimes you’d rather die,
Than try to live like this
With ashes for a heart
And tears that never fall

Shame paralyzes, can you ever forget
Those moments which pierced your soul?

Beautiful child, come into My arms,
I’ll whisper the songs of My love in your heart
And your heart may be broken, but your beauty remains,
Your tears are a sign of your strength
Come to me, beautiful child.

I wrote this for my amazing friend who suffered severe trauma over the past year. There was very little I could do for her, so I wanted to give her this reminder of God's love for her.

This was one of the best poems I ever read! It should be printed in the front of Bibles, as an introduction, you know? So beautiful! You are truly a very gifted writer and an amzing friend! Your friend is lucky to have you!
