Tiger's Serenade

I must be an insomniac because even in my dreams, I'm losing sleep.

A mirage of our memories taunt me as I stumble aimlessly, even the creeking floorboards know I'm weak.

Whispers linger, I'm still oblivious to the truth that you're never coming back.

Being so alone and without you, the pain is worse than a constant heart attack.

Why can't you just explain?

Do you love to watch your victims go insane?

Do you crave the vulnerable taste and catch it to devour your prey?

You love to entice and persuade, only leading me to be betrayed but I'm so naive because I'm seduced by your serenade.

Even though your my past, I still want you to take me back.

I just want to make you smile and make you laugh.

I know I was a leech but I didn't want you to leave.

Your attention was my vacation without the beach.

Please don't push me away, I'm on my knees begging you to stay.

Why can't you just explain?

Now that you're gone, you furnished my heart with burdens and regret.

I keep reading our notes, hearing your voice echo with every word you said.

How could I have been so stupid, letting you take all the credit.

Now that you're gone, with all this heartbreak, I wish we never met.
