Favorite Quote:
"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than be loved for who I am not." -Kurt Cobain

The soil that we walk,
Corrupted as we talk,
Misconcepted for all the wrong things.

Where to start? Where to fall?
Where to being this awful call?
Where to bounce back to a place when I was young and safe,
When to laugh? When to cry?
When to sing? When to sight?
When to pray to God that what I know is not a lie.

What are we doing now?
We've fallen under what we once knew,
What happened to our youth?
We've given up. We've given in,
We've let go and gripped on sin,
We've lost our innocence...

Why do we hide (why do we hide)?
Behind these tears we cry,
Why do we hide beneath the covers of the life we once knew?
Why do we sin (why do we sin)?
A battle we just can't win,
Why do we sin and cause the trouble that hits us down deep?

Where to start? Where to fall?Where to begin this awful call?
Where to put myself; unsheltered by the hands that fed me?
When to laugh? When to cry?
When to sing? When to sigh?
When to sing my song and write the story to my own life.

What's left to say?
Day after day,
Innocence is lost...

Where is our grip?
Lost in abyss?
A shattering mold,
No one to hold,
Fightened down deep,
Knowledge we reap,
If all understand,
It'll tear up this land,
Where is our innocence?
Where has it gone?
Why are we battling?
The battle was won.

Stop fighting to forget,
Vask in the depth,
Of knowledge that we tred to forget,
What more to say?
Day after day,
We laugh, we fall, we live in this fear...

Where to start? Where to fall?
Where to begin this awful call?
Where to bounce back to a place when I was young and safe,
When to laugh? When to cry?
When to sing? When to sigh?
When to pray to God that what I know is not a lie.

We've lost our innocence...
We've lost our innocence...
We've lost our innocence...

No more innocence...
No more innocence...
We've lost our innocence...

(guitar solo)

No more innocence...

The author's comments:
This is how I feel our generation is going through life. We've lost our innocence by watching and hearing the cruel harm the world has to offer.
