"Life is but a walking shadow."

~Shakespeare (Macbeth)

And when it rains, it pours down on just me
Washing away my state of ecstasy
And I knew I'd been dreaming
My dark and dead eyes gleaming
With the tears I cannot cry
It's always hard to say goodbye
Although

I'm numb to you
You took away
All of the fight
I had yesterday
I gave you chances,
Tried so hard,
But in the end
I didn't get that far...

And when I was blind, I couldn't see
Every wrong that you did to me
Suddenly, I could see every flaw
And eyes for everyone else is what I saw
Are you sure you ever loved me at all?
And...

I'm numb to you
You took away
All of the fight
I had yesterday
I gave you chances,
Tried so hard
But in the end
I didn't get that far...

I am numb
I am done
With all your lies
You can't disguise
With those few words
I barely heard
They're the same few
I've wasted on you
"I'll always love you..."

She truly doesn't understand. I don't think she takes anyone else's feelings into consideration... And if she really meant everything she said ("I'm sorry, I love you," etcetera), then she wouldn't do the same things over and over and over again.
