Favorite Quote:
Your nearness takes my breath away, and all the things I want to say can find no voice; then, in silence, i can only hope my eyes will speak my heart.

No matter how hard I try,
The pieces won't fit back together,
You said you'd hold me when I cried,
That you'd stick with me through whatever.
But with tears streaming down my face,
You're no where to be found,
I'm scared someone will take my place,
Now that I'm not around.

What kind of person does it take to break a heart?
Knowing the whole time that someones being torn apart,
Karma's going to come around one day, and give you yours,
And my broken heart will heal and end up stronger than before.

I see you walking around town with a new girl,
I bet she's got more to give than me,
She's your new world.
I'll bet she's gorgeous, funny, polite and sweet,
Your parents love her, she's part of your family,
She fits all the requirements I couldn't ever meet,
Except she'll never know you, or love you, like me.

What kind of person does it take to break a heart?
Knowing the whole time that someones being torn apart,
Karma's gonna come around one day and give you yours,
And my broken heart will heal and end up stronger than before.

Baby, thanks to you there's lessons that I've learned,
Like never trust a snake when your back is turned,
And never take for granted a person that you love,
Cause they could wake up and realize you were never good enough,

And now I know what it takes to break my heart,
Someone like you, who doesn't care if I'm torn apart,
One day you'll realize just exactly what you lost,
And you'll learn that being heartless never comes without a cost.

And no matter how hard I try,
I just can't fit the pieces back together.

I just found this piece in one of my desk drawers the other day. It's written about a break up I went through with a real jerk. Hope you like it!
