Draw it back, and let it fly.
A thousand arrows in the sky.
Aimed at me, so blood-thirsty.
I am but your casualty.

It started with your eyes, piercing through my mind.
Then, I could still defend attacks of that kind.
It soon was Everclear, there was something more.
As you rested your head, we talked until four.
Things are never that plain, you make me feel sane.
You make me feel plain, and you make me feel sane.
Your arrows now poisoned, and I wish you knew.
I am weaker to you, and all that you do.

Draw it back, and let it fly.
A thousand arrows in the sky.
Aimed at me, so blood-thirsty.
I am but your casualty.

Your mellifluous voice, gripped me so tightly.
Redolence in each page, I’m reading nightly.
The arrows grow with time. Pixies blink Sublime.
I need a Replacement, my heart’s dying chime.
My mutilated heart, the world I’m lost in.
It’s a failing fortress of Jane Austen.
This is only logic, void of advanced math.
Can you even believe, she reads Sylvia Plath?

Draw it back, and let it fly.
A thousand arrows in the sky.
Aimed at me, so blood-thirsty.
I am but your casualty.

When you feel like every move she makes and every word she speaks is just another arrow through your heart.
