Then She'll See

You broke her heart
she's lying somewhere in the distance
torn apart
her heart burning at the edges
her last breath breathes
take my ashes and
bury me

(Chorus)
moons will pass
A million tears will be shed
she'll be broken inside
never to be mended
but then she'll see
she'll see
"time will mend me"

Life fire and brimstone
you sweep through the crowd
you say they're wasting your time
let's just be friends for now
you can't see
you can't see
those broken hearts

(Chorus)

That broken piece may be gone
But she still survived
The pain may be long
fell like the end in her eyes
But with friends to hold her
to take her hands
carry her burdens
wipe the tears from her eyes
He'll think to himself
"what have I left behind?"

The author's comments:
He wants to be friends but then he doesn't. He keeps playing with her heart and she thinks he doesn't have time for her and doesn't care. She feels broken like she'll never get over him because she cares about him and he feels differently. But then it'll all be ok and she'll move on and find someone else that she loves and that loves her.
