Birthday Candles

There's an empty silence,
Where have you gone?
I need you here right now, I've needed you here,
For so long.

But I don't see you,
And I know you're not there.
I wish I could see you,
But I know you're gone, forever.

And when I go to celebrate today,
I will only cry out for your voice.
I'm living on this world alone,
But I know it wasn't your choice.

There's an empty silence,
Where have you gone?
I need you here right now, I've needed you here,
For so long.

But I don't see you,
And I know you're not there.
I wish I could see you,
But I know you're gone, forever.

And the wicker flame on your cake,
Is only here to die.
Your candles do not show any joy,
Let the light flicker, and i'll watch the smoke spiral.

There's an empty silence,
Where have you gone?
I need you here right now, I've needed you here,
For so long.

But I don't see you,
And I know you're not there.
I wish I could see you,
But I know you're gone, forever.
