Where’s your car at?
Why ain’t you running?
I don’t see you down at the bar?
You don’t play x-box?
Do you even have fun, eh?
I can’t call you a normal kid, no more.

The baby’s crying,
Right behind ya’
I see you keep your voice quite calm.
How are you doing?
Do you got money?
Man, you learning quick that life is hard.

Chourse:
Father Child, Father Child.
That’s who you are now.
Father Child, Father Child,
That’s who you are.

Where’s your car at?
Why ain’t you running?
I don’t see you down at the bar?
You don’t play x-box?
Do you even have fun, eh?
I can’t call you a normal kid, no more.

Why you raise him? He’s your brother.
Is your mom here anymore?
No, she’s gone, huh?
How ‘bout your father?
What were they thinking?
When the kid was born?

Where’s your car at?
Why ain’t you running?
I don’t see you down at the bar?
You don’t play x-box?
Do you even have fun, eh?
I can’t call you a normal kid, no more.

Chourse:
Father Child, Father Child.
That’s who you are now.
Father Child, Father Child,
That’s who you are.
He’s getting older now. Are you breaking?
Is he hard now, to control?
You gotta strong head,
But I see your hands shaking.
You just gotta know,
He’s better off then he ever would be, before.

Where’s your head at?
I guess it’s hard, eh?
But I don’t see you quitting very soon.
Do you remember the days?
When you used to play?
Yeah seems far, but I remember em’ too.

Chourse:
Father Child, Father Child.
That’s who you are now.
Father Child, Father Child,
That’s who you are.

Man, where’s your childhood gone?
You’ve grown up fast, it feels real wrong.
Why are you crying?
It’s alright.
Thanks to you,
That baby sleeps sound at night.

He’s nearly grown now,
Man, it’s okay.
You accomplished what you had to do,
They’d be proud now,
Better believe it.
Had they known, what you went through.

Look at him smiling,
His life is good.
He’s a quiet guy, kinda misunderstood.
His shot at life, was a million to one.
But you gave him the chance;
Live through him, his path has only yet begun.

Chourse: (X2)
Father Child, Father Child.
That’s who you are now.
Father Child, Father Child,
That’s who you are.

Father Child, Father Child.
That’s who you are now.
Father Child, Father Child,
That’s who you are. (X2)

If you read it, I appreciate it. You don't like it, I don't really care. It's about a close friend, he had to raise his younger brother by himself and you know, his childhood was kind of lost in the process.
