Ten years of age grasping a controller,
Completion came to the one and only holder.

Bowling through challenges that repeated over and over,
A young prodigy of the Game Boy that hasn’t grown older.

Much time has passed but the child is still awake,
Mashing buttons to show that he has what it takes.
But alas, everything begins to crumble in disarray.

The ten year old didn’t realize that it would end soon,
He had been playing since the sun’s departure and the arrival of the moon.

Suddenly, a red light began to loom.
The Game Boy drained of power left the boy crying in his room.
