Irrational in Love

It is difficult to decipher
What is happening.
When I see you smiling,
And all I want is it
To be cause of me.
It doesn’t make sense,
For you to feel butterflies too
When I look at you.
For the sake of my heart,
I must throw all that is rational to the wind,

Chorus: I should begin by saying I won’t try to make sense of this.
I won’t make sense of you,
Holding my hands in yours,
Cause I said my fingers were cold
Enough to freeze.
Instead I’m gonna be irrational.
‘cause in the end isn’t that rational for love?
Irrational in love.

The future is the past,
The past is the future,
Everything you do makes
Me jumbled and confused.
I can’t make sense of my thoughts,
What is real and what is truth?
All I know is I become aware,
Of your every little stare,
And I like who I see in myself
When I am around you.

Chorus: I should begin by saying I won’t try to make sense of this.
I won’t make sense of you,
Holding my hands in yours,
Cause I said my fingers were cold
Enough to freeze.
Instead I’m gonna be irrational.
‘cause in the end isn’t that rational for love?
Irrational in love.

Every heartbeat gets more distinct,
Every breath gets more discreet.
What if I say the wrong thing?
What if when I think you are searching
In my eyes,
I just have something in my eye?
How should I rationalize?
For the sake of my heart,
I’ll just let myself get carried by the wind.

Chorus: I should begin by saying I won’t try to make sense of this.
I won’t make sense of you,
Holding my hands in yours,
Cause I said my fingers were cold
Enough to freeze.
Instead I’m gonna be irrational.
‘cause in the end isn’t that rational for love?
Irrational in love.
