"Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours" -Henry David Thoreau

I always get the last word
Alas, It's only worth while when one is walking away
I watch my pride take on a shadow
To embrace a less shameful name
He always writes a shallow hand
They always keep a shallow hand
They all have a shallow hand
A claw it does become
Aged enough to understand
Underblame of the young

His curse he calls it
Excuse I claim
I see no difference between a Jack and a Box
A homophone of words I misspell
This Jack in a Box is winding
still winding
and this Jane in a Box is dieing
still dieing
I see no difference between a Jack and a Box
They all look the same

A cynical exchange
Between love and spare change
I've seen you before, same starry eyed
Like clockwork for me
an hour glass tipped to its side
a paperweight it does become

His curse he calls it
Excuse I claim
I see no difference between a Jack and a Box
A homophone of words I misspell
This Jack in a Box is winding
still winding
and this Jane in a Box is dieing
still dieing
I see no difference between a Jack and a Box
They all look the same
They all look the same.
