I don't need a rose. I want a daisy you picked for my hair. I don't want some fancy box of chocolate. I want a pink frosting cookie you made just for me. Lets skip the upscale restaraunt and have a picnic in the park.

I am a princess
Wearin out my blue jeans
And livin in my converse

I am a princess
With dyed hair
And drum sticks

I am a Princess

And I am the other side
Of happ’ly ever after
The other side of once upon a time
The other side of the fairytale

And get a load of this

I’m a princess
With a reality complex

I am a princess
Drivin in my beat up truck
With the windows rolled low and the volume cranked high

I am a princess
Rocking in my band clothes
And making the music fly

Cause I’m the other side

I’m the princess
With a reality complex

I am a princess
Dreaming of Saturday nights
While sleeping through history 101

I am a princess
Singing loud and dancing with all of my friends
Letting loose and having fun

Yeah, I’m a princess

I’m the other side
Of happ’ly ever after
The other side
Of once upon a time
The other side of the fairytale

Get this

I’m a princess
With a reality complex

This started as a poem, but somewhere between my brain and my pen, it changed into a song. I'm still not sure how it sounds, but i know it's something upbeat...
