Such a typical notion,
filing for devotion.
Giving chips for motions.
Such an endless ocean.

Cracking down on despair.
Searching for some fresh air.
Bleeding out some misery.
Begging for some company.

Looking for a #9 potion,
filing for devotion.
Losing wind and caution.
Such an endless ocean.

Cracking down on despair.
Searching for some fresh air.
Bleeding out some misery.
Begging for some company.

Strength finds an open palm.
A crutch to bare it all.
Pain finds a weakened heart.
Its where that ocean learns to start…

The author's comments:
Company is a song/poem in which I delve in to using more references to some things. I don’t often explain my writing, but I’ll make an exception, or rather, give a better idea.
The verses, 1 and 3, basically are about the desperation one has when longing for love. In the third verse, I even reference love potion #9 and the phrase, “Throwing Caution to the Wind”. The chorus, verse 2 & 4, explain that even if you get what you’ve longed for, sometimes it’s not always right. This is taken from the old phrase, “Misery loves Company”. The after-chorus, verse 5, basically sums up the previous statement.
I hope you can read other things out of it too. I didn’t explain every single line. Welp, thanks for reading. :D
