Hope's Song

Winter mornings and evening stars remind me of where you are
And I can't take a plane to get there.
The way you wore your hair and the way you always made me smile
Took me to another place in this world.
But I can never go back
It was cut too short
I'm not gonna fix the cracks beneath the surface

And I'm running out of air screaming for you
But it's too late, you're ice cold. Now my heart is too
I can hardly breathe without you here with me
But I'm gonna have to learn how to
Some body hold my hand, I'm gonna need a rescue

I keep the bracelet that reminds me of that summer's day
I couldn't bear the thought of losing the memory.
I cry myself to sleep at night, it's your words that feel right
When the slumber sinks in.
But the dreams don't last
I wake up to solitude
I need to let go of the past and finally move on

And I'm running out of air screaming for you
But it's too late, you're ice cold. Now my heart is too
I can hardly breathe without you here with me
But I'm gonna have to learn how to
Some body hold my hand, I'm gonna need a rescue

In a tunnel without light
I feel the pain enveloping me inside
And then there's a sudden light
She calls me, surrounds me, makes me feel happy again

And I'm running out of air laughing with joy
I thinks it's too late, I'm falling head over heels in love
I can finally breathe, I found an angel, destiny
And I have finally learned to live without you
I'll always love you, but I've found my rescue.
