At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet~ Plato

I'm afraid of the dark
But not because of the unknown
It reminds me of my heart
I'm afraid to quit laughing
But not because it's to loud
What if I never can again
And I look for ways to draw my tears
With memories from distant fears
But it never seems to work
I'm lost and don't know how to show that it hurts

I cry on the inside
But the pain overlapping stops it from pouring out
I try on the outside
To masquerade in front of the whole world
To every one I'm an ordinary girl
But no one ever looks beyond the surface

I envy those with broken hearts
But not because they got to feel love
But because they always have a shoulder to cry on
And I look for ways to hold my breath
It's like a drum inside my head
The beat keeps playing on
And I don't know if anyone even sees that I'm gone

I cry on the inside
But the pain overlapping stops it from pouring out
I try on the outside
To masquerade in front of the whole world
To every one I'm an ordinary girl
But no one ever looks beyond the surface

Toxic and radioactive
My soul spoils the rest
I can't get over it
Sometimes I feel like I'm dead

I cry on the inside
But the pain overlapping stops it from pouring out
I try on the outside
To masquerade in front of the whole world
To every one I'm an ordinary girl
But no one ever looks beyond the surface
