Promises, I Made for the Dead (They Hold Me Down)

I promised to keep you safe, yet, you doubt me saying,
"Promises are for the deaf and for thsoe who are blind"
They held me down to burry my head
Oh,oh, I won't cry, I will not weep
They held me down as you broke me
oh,I won't cry but these are lies
They can try to break me!
But now I know you're filled with greed and lust
And i knew, our love wouldn't last
not like the deteriorating walls of our minds or the ignited flames of our arms
They hold me down,oh,I won't give up

They hold me down,oh, but i know
They can't break me!
