"Darkness does not always equate to evil just as Light does not always bring good.

I'm searching low and high
and in reverse.
I search for a sign of you
and don't seem to be around.

Why does it feel like you're
hiding from me? Or like you
just don't care at all?

I will look to the ends of the
Earth for you, I will look in
subways, airports, and ships.
I will look in Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall.

But only if it means, I will
eventually find you.

I won't hide, I won't run,
just know that I'm here for you.
I will face all my fears.

But you, you will always run away.
You will always hide from me.
You were, never there, so you,
fed all of your fears, by running
away...

I will look to the ends of the
Earth for you, I will look in
subways, airports, and ships.
I will look in Winter, Summer,
Spring and Fall.

But only if it means, I will
eventually find you.

I've given up, movin' on. I'll leave you behind, you can
defend yourself, or find
someone else, to be your shield.

Just know that I've moved
on, and you should, too...
That said, I will no
longer search the world
for you...

The author's comments:
I based this on a boyfriend I used to have. He never spoke to me unless I contacted him, and even then he would barely talk to me. He also expected me to watch his back, and protect him from the harm of all the other teens out there (I'm 14, he was 15), and after we broke up he wanted me back. I rejected and wrote this song.
