The memories in my mind
Are flooding like an ocean
At the notion of you

How can I survive
As the current drags me under?
How can I hold on?

But if you
Stay the same
I think that fate will bring us together some day

I can’t take it back it’s already done
I had a hold on it, but I let it go
Through all the things that stand in our way
We live and learn or we die from our mistakes

I’m standing at the crossroads
Looking for a sign to know
Which way to go

And all I know is this:
That a life lived obliviously
Is a life of bliss

But if you
Never change
I know that hope will bring us together some day

But it’s only a memory
I won’t let it get the best of me
I’ll fight through this misery

Yeah it’s only a memory
I won’t let it get the best…the best of me

I’m done with these still frames on display
In my mind, now I can finally say
You’ll never get the best of me

This song is about overcoming regret to make sure that it never drowns you in misery. The past is important to who we are today but it does not define our futures. Learn from your mistakes and be prepared for a second chance because I guarantee it will come
