"Why, you, Rodion Romanovitch! you are the murderer".

Pride is insatiable.
When wounded he sets our villages a b l a z e,
Then gleefully sifts the ashes through his hands.
Pride is parasitic.
He thrives in the dark crevices our consciousness,
blighting morality.
Pride is repulsed by opulence and mettle,
instead he finds sanction in the envy and uncertainty,
infecting those who hopelessly pursue unquestioned dominion.
Only after his victims are weak; desperate for power,
Does he take them as his own.
Insecurity is pride’s genesis,
and self assurance is his fall.
