"To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world."

Iron bars to my left, a brick wall to my right
Hands pressed against the glass, no escape in sight.
No matter which way I turn, there’s nowhere to go
I’m cornered, I’m trapped, I just don’t know.

Chorus: But I’m gonna break out of this prison that holds me
Shatter the shackles and rip up the chains
The enemy holding me down is no more
At last, I’ll come into the light of the day
I’m strong enough now to escape from my bonds
It’s time I became what I’m meant to be
Nothing holding me back from my goal
After so long, I’m finally free.

A thick sheet of fog hides the sky and the land
And my feet are bound to the place where they stand.
The path forward is guarded by traps and snares
But I will not stay quiet; I’ll stand and declare:

Chorus: I’m gonna break out of this prison that holds me
Shatter the shackles and rip up the chains
The enemy holding me down is no more
At last, I’ll come into the light of the day
I’m strong enough now to escape from my bonds
It’s time I became what I’m meant to be
Nothing holding me back from my goal
After so long, I’m finally free.

To walk without bindings forcing me back
To see in the world more than empty black.
My cell is now empty, and I’m moving on.
It’s hard to believe, but my chains are all gone.

Chorus: ‘Cause I broke out of this prison that held me
Shattered the shackles and ripped up the chains
The enemy holding me down is no more
At last, I’ve come into the light of the day
I’m strong enough now to escape from my bonds
It’s time I became what I’m meant to be
Nothing holding me back from my goal
After so long, I’m finally free.
