Bright eyes, shining the way that they do
As I stand there, staring at you
You caught my eye as we passed in the crowd
I still remember you know

Made me believe that life is wonderful
Maybe the world is just as beautiful

*Chorus*
We join hands and pray that someone hears us
Out loud we scream and pretend that nothing hurts us
This is our fight, this is our fire,
Our unity can only take us higher

Angel’s breath, blowing colors throughout the sky
Visions passing of your bright eyes
Once upon a memory, there was simply too much to see

Made me believe that life is magical
Give me a chance to show that I am beautiful

*Chorus*

Connected by a common soul
Our hearts shine brighter as a whole
We are one, together we are home
We make each other strong as stone

*Chorus* x 2

Made me believe that life is wonderful
Maybe the world is just as magical
Give me a chance to show that I am beautiful.

During a wonderful conference for Jewish teenagers in the southeast, the randomly chosen house and eight other girls I stayed in bonded more tightly than anythihg. After three days with these girls I'd never met before, I was already closer to them than to kids I see every day at school. After an emotional day of programming, we sat together and wrote this song, to celebrate the beauty of finally finding people who understood.
