My friends say I need to get over you
They say this has gone on too long
They say it in whispers that ring in my ears
They scream it with words that sound on

I have to admit that you’ve ended it
I have to claim no fault and no blame
I try to step away, but find that I’m trapped
And I noticed, and then I felt shame

I think of you often, I daydream
My mind sees you as a star
But my heart is broken and oozing
My thoughts are old, tattered, far

I lost you and with you I lost me
I lost all that I thought I could be
I rearranged my life for you, rethought it all
All when you became a priority

wow. you've definately got talent!! I especially loved this poem because it was easy to understand, and I felt connected to it too, because I can relate. ;) good job!
