It'll get better in the end

Woke up this morning
Tripped getting out of bed
Dropped my toothbrush in the toilet
Spilled the milk on my shirt

But as I left work today
I heard the old man say
It gets better in the end
It gets better in the end
It might not seem all right
But you know it will get better
It’ll get better in the end

The copy machine broke
On the day my report was due
Boss got mad over the lame excuse
Secretary caught me staring down her shirt

But as I left for home
I heard the old man say
It gets better in the end
It gets better in the end
It might not seem all right
But you know it will get better
It’ll get better in the end

When I got home that night
I found a letter in the mail
Now I’m living in the light
Got a wife, 3 kids and a dog
And I heard the old man say

It got better in the end
It got better in the end
Sometimes you got to hold on tight
Grab the reins and go for a ride
Cause it’ll get better in the end
It’ll get better in the end
