The Center

Yes, I am a mess, and yes, I do regret
But no, I will not bend, I will not break
You have no choice but to leave, to take
And if this is all you want, all you need
There's no one here to help you, my thief.
Oh, nobody told you where to hide
Told you when to stowaway
Could you tell me you still love me
Still feel the same when I’m lonely.
Yes, I still need you, my little angel
I want you to need me too, forever
But it’s not as though it will happen
No, the odds are certainly less, my love.

Inside the center of all the tragedy,
The hurt, the loneliness, lays sadness
Burning with a thousand suns, passion
Lying in the bed you just had to make.
Beautiful and destructive
I can still taste you on my lips
Feel you on my skin, my clothes;
That insatiable urge to be with you.
Catastrophic, my private little hurricane
Of emotions, fear and rage,
Favoring, starting my two favorite games
Played by the ones who know just the same.

You’re a disease, a pretty little box
Wrapped in diamonds and new ribbons
But inside, you’re just another freak
And, oh yes, you will soon see it too.
The center of all the frustration, all the pain
Held together simply by the need to destroy
Everything and everyone that ever existed
Oh, what a beautiful w**** you must be.
