Purpose

If I could

jump from the bark of a tree

and cling to the life of me

I would

because I know I’d touch the surface.

If I could

understand our lives better

and write thee all out in a letter

I would

of what I know days would replace.

If I could

rise and foresee the future

and live of what I could be sure

I wouldn’t

because I’d now I’d lived with purpose.
