Reset Button
All good judgment, sense of reason flies
Out the window when a thousand eyes
Build up the pressure to burn a hole
Through your skin, deep into your soul.
The weight of their stares, their expectation,
Heavy enough to break your concentration
This situation’s where your pride is found,
And then you know you won’t back down.

You know, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
 Punishment’s never worth the crime.
Your so-called friends push you right along,
But where are they when it all goes wrong?
The regret will cut through you like a knife
‘cause there’s no reset button in life.

My heart wears a permanent crack
For what I’ve done I can never take back.
What’s worse than my reputation’s demise
Are the tears I see in her eyes.
Thought this would affect my life alone.
Never would’ve done it if I had known
That my decision would hurt her so
Never forgive me. No, no, no.

My regret cuts through me like a knife.
Wish there was a reset button in life.
