Verse One:
Slowly, Silently, alone I am fading.
It's way too late for someone to come save me.
You've pushed me to my limit; took me way to high.
I'm falling fast to the ground; I've no way to fly.

Chorus:
How did I come upon myself to trust a stranger?
I couldn't let go or say no whenever your lips lingered.
You knew all along you were gonna break my heart.
Why did you start? Now you've left a painful mark.

Verse Two:
Carefully, quietly, I try to escape from you.
I need you out of my life. I can't stop thinking about you.
You've changed who I am, and I've been living a lie.
I was so stupid to trust such a hurtful guy.

Chorus:
How did I come upon myself to trust a stranger?
I couldn't let go or say no whenever your lips lingered.
You knew all along, you were gonna break my heart.
Why did you start? Now you've left a painful mark.

Bridge:
I thought you meant it when you said,
"I love you!" to me.
Little did I know that each time you said it,
you were just lying.

Chorus:
How did I come upon myself to trust a stranger?
I couldn't let go or say no whenever your lips lingered.
You knew all along, you were gonna break my heart.
Why did you start? Now you've left a painful mark.
