[Chorus]
Friends, closer than some,
We've got just one shot.
3-2-1 here I come,
Ready or not.

Toddlers on the swing-set,
Hide-and-seek, I'm it,
The first time we met,
Toddlers, friends befit.

Elementary school was rough
Eachother's guardian angel,
Just one friend; more than enough.
For my best friend, I fell.

We were teens, kids inside,
When everything was scariest,
I loved you, a boy blue eyed,
Your company was the best-est.

Our last year rolled around,
You loved me back, I found.
But a little too late,
I was furious with fate.

College, jobs, stole us apart,
Without you, I felt a little lost.
Being single was a lost art,
My best friend was a hefty cost.

[Chorus]
Friends, closer than some,
We've got just one shot.
3-2-1 here I come,
Ready or not.

Ten years later, when we et,
Our high school reunion came,
Ten years of regret.
You're the boy I knew, the same.

Flipping through the photos,
We laugh at our old memories.
Wedding pictures aside with those,
Past many anniversaries.

Since I was three,
You've made me grin,
Now you've married me,
What a friendship this has been.

[Chorus]
Friends, closer than some,
We've got just one shot.
3-2-1 here I come,
Ready or not.
