Looking around
But nothing to see
Except your pretty smile

I wake up wishing,
Wishing you were right
By my side

The days grow long
When I’m not with
You

The nights are
Short when I’m
Dreaming of your smile

When I open my eye,
There you are with
Your open arms

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem on October 29, 2010. I just got a girlfriend a few weeks ago. She is beyond wonderful. Whenever I look, she has open arms waiting for me. A hug is one thing, but when you mean it, it is pure heart ship. I hope you enjoy this poem.
