She sits and waits for someone to come take her away
From the world that she no longer wants to stay
Her stars in her sky no longer shine
The falling sand in the glass means she’s running out of time
She feels like Cinderella, locked in a tower
She needs a prince charming to save her

She wants to life without fears and be who she wants to be
Life is not always a fairytale but she still finds hope to believe
That someday her prince will come and they’ll ride off into the setting sun

She dreams she is at a royal ball
Wearing glass slippers that make her feel tall
Then the prince appears and puts out a hand
And he says, “May I have the honor of this dance?”
She wants to be Cinderella with a fairy godmother of her own
She needs a prince charming so she won’t feel so alone

She wants to life without fears and be who she wants to be
Life is not always a fairytale but she still finds hope to believe
That someday her prince will come and they’ll ride off into the setting sun

But every story has to end and she comes back to reality
After closing the book, she thinks, “That’ll never happen to me.”
She wants to be Cinderella and live happily ever after
She needs a prince charming, one that will finally save her

She wants to life without fears and be who she wants to be
Life is not always a fairytale but she still finds hope to believe
That someday her prince will come and they’ll ride off into the setting sun

~Sometimes life isn't a fairytale but that doesn't stop us from believing in destiny~
This song is one of my favorites and is about a girl that wishes she was Cinderella and live happily ever after.
