::.Your Yellow Folder.::

August 15, 2010
We used to sit out on the street,
With purple chalk, so bittersweet,
Now it all seems so obsolete,
Remember...

We used to knock on people's doors,
Then you would take my hand in yours,
And we would run until
we couldn't anymore.

~ <3 ~
We used to dream of getting older,
Every single summer, you were right there by my side.
One year in the middle of october,
I found your yellow folder, with her name written inside,
A million times,
And I cried.

We used to climb the tallest trees,
and in the shadows of the leaves,
we'd sit and watch time vanish slowly.

We used to run out in the rain,
We used to be outright insane,
Darling, if you ever think of me,
I hope you smile.

We used to dream of getting older,
Every single summer, you were right there by my side.
One year in the middle of october,
I found your yellow folder, with her name written inside,
A million times,
And I cried.

I never told you, we got older and I missed you.
Sometimes I wish we could be the way we used to.
Haven't seen you for forever, years between us just keep getting longer.

But hopeless hopes are always the most beautiful. :)

"We used to knock on people's doors then you would take my hand in yours, and we would run until we couldn't anymore"... its confusing, but this song is about two kids who had the time of their lives together. that stanza is them ding dong ditching... if you know what that is lol. :) i guess that wasn't too clear but thats what it refers to.

I only have one thing to say on this and it is that the 2nd paragraph 1st line doesn't fit. We used to knock on people's doors....and it ends there. Overall though, beautiful.
