Something

When you're in your bed
There's nothing in your head
When you come to a rise
It's like there's nothing for your eyes
But you really want to see
But you really want to see

Would've called you dead
If I was only checking your head
But I know, somewhere deep
You don't want to sleep
You just want to dream
You just want to dream
Something
Something

CHORUS
If you've found that something
If you dream about that something
You got way more than nothing
Even if all you got is something
Something
Something

You feel you've been left out
Choked trying to shout
And you just look away
From what you wish could stay
Like you never get to hold
Like you never get to hold

But you've gotta learn
When it comes your turn
To take it and make it right
You just gotta shout tonight
And say what you want to say
And say what you want to say
Something
Something

CHORUS

Oh, darling, don't look away
It's your turn to see the day
If you took a peek, and it was okay
Would you stay
Would you stay
For your something
Something

CHORUS

I know how it lasts
How you feel about the past
But if you want out
You can't ever doubt
What you feel deep inside
What you know deep inside

So if you've still got faith
Then you're already safe
For all that you know
Now, you can finally show
What you want to be seen
Something of your dream
Something
Something

CHORUS
CHORUS

This song just developed itself. It has a nice poppish feel, and the lyrics (I suppose) are about learning to uncover something they want to see. It's about breaking out- waking up and opening one's eyes.
