Denial

I look at your picture,
Remind myself,
That we weren’t meant,
To be anything else.

Hear my favorite song,
But feel the words speaking more than ever,
And I hear my conscience, and it’s tellin’ me,
Our souls shan’t dissever.

Oh yeah, they can’t dissever.

Cause when I’m writing a song,
Or just hanging out,
I can’t help but say that there’s no doubt,
That I…I’m in denial.

You always see it in the movies,
Where pretty girls swoon,
And you say denial happens,
Once in a blue moon.

But just hear me out,
It’s not cliché,
‘Cause it is legit,
Just like they say.

They say when life gives you lemons,
You make lemonade,
But have you ever noticed,
Making someone fall in love isn’t a choice to be made?

‘Cause when I’m writing a song,
Or just hanging out,
I can’t help but say that there’s no doubt,
That I…I’m in denial.

I can’t even tell you,
How many times,
I’ve seen myself with so many,
Symptoms and signs,
Of denial.

‘Cause baby, when I’m writing a song,
Or just hanging out,
You’d say it too, that there’s no doubt,
That I…I’m in denial.
Denial...
