My fingernails scratching,
To rip my heart out.
I put it on the line.
I lay it all down.

Make sure I remember to breathe,
I don’t want you to see
What it is this is doing to me.

This time,
I won’t fall into the ground.
And this time,
I will not let you down.
Oh this time,
I swear I’ll still be around
When your world comes crashing down.

Now I see the light,
Hanging at the end of a tunnel.
I can’t read the signs.
We’re flying past;
It’s too fast.
I can’t breathe, babe,
This is my dissent into oblivion.

Make sure I remember to breathe,
I don’t want you to see
What it is this is doing to me.

This time,
I won’t fall into the ground.
And this time,
I will not let you down.
Oh this time,
I swear I’ll still be around
When your world comes crashing down.

I fall too deep;
I don’t hold back.
Will I ever learn?
That this world was never meant for me.

Make sure I remember to breathe,
I don’t want you to see
What it is this is doing to me.

This time,
I won’t fall into the ground.
And this time,
I will not let you down.
Oh this time,
I swear I’ll still be around
When your world comes crashing down.

I’ve been here before,
Not once, but more and more.
I can’t believe it;
I’m my own worst enemy.
This is just where I was before.
I think I’ll never learn.

Oh remember to breathe,
‘Cause for once I don’t want you to see,
What it is you’re doing to me.
You can’t help this time around,
‘Cause you’re the one who let me down.
I never thought you would.
You said you never would.
Oh, I knew this would happen to me,
Now just remember to breathe.
